Inspiration/Meaning: 
Bastet was an ancient Egyptian Cat Goddess of not only protection, health and healing but also music, dance, life-giving aspects of the sun, sensual pleasure and all things joyful. She is ultimately concerned with the enjoyment of life and serves as a reminder to relax and move as femininely-graceful as natured intended while not being moved by others’ energy and opinions. Her feline-like gifts include the refusal to be at everyone’s beck and call and an insistence on the freedom of expression.
